Discover Davis Unveils a Whimsical New Mural in Farmington

by Discover Davis

Discover the Magic of Art in the Heart of Farmington

Farmington, Utah, has a new vibrant attraction that brings a splash of color and creativity to the city: a stunning mural painted in a 3,000 square foot pedestrian tunnel under Main Street on the Farmington Creek Trail. This enchanting artwork is the latest project supported by Discover Davis’ mural grant program, launched to foster public art and community beautification throughout Davis County.

The mural, created by talented artist Hannah Eddy, transforms the once-dark tunnel into a lively and immersive experience. Hannah’s goal was to remind us of our connection to nature, a theme vividly brought to life through her playful and imaginative style. As you walk through the tunnel, you will encounter a variety of wildlife, including moose, frogs, foxes, bears, birds, and snakes, interwoven with colorful flowers and buzzing bees. One of the mural’s standout features is “Tree Buddy,” a whimsical character designed to evoke smiles and a sense of wonder.

Hannah’s use of scale and perspective ensures that viewers feel as though they are stepping into a different world, becoming a part of the mural rather than simply observing it. “I had fun playing with scale and utilizing the fact that the viewer would be walking into this mural and immersing themselves in it rather than viewing it from a distance,” she shared.

We invite everyone to visit the new mural on the Farmington Creek Trail and immerse themselves in this whimsical, colorful depiction of nature. It’s not just a painting; it’s an experience that brings joy and wonder to all who pass through.
