CPT has once again dazzled the audience with a heartwarming and spirited production. Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is led with great care and attention to detail, capturing the magic and moral lessons of the original story while breathing fresh life into the beloved tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformative journey toward redemption.

From the moment you enter the theater, the atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable experience. The set design is simple yet beautiful, evoking Victorian London with its cobblestone streets and dimly lit homes.

This show is wonderfully cast. CenterPoint has managed to find northern Utah’s very own Michael Caine. Nick Cash’s portrayal of the scathing Ebenezer Scrooge is played in earnest with authenticity. It’s not so easy to play a man who’s life is defined by heartbreak but Cash somehow manages to tap into all the pain and regret of a man jaded by misfortune. His performance is enhanced by those playing opposite him. Everyone from main cast to ensemble worked to make this show what it is and it’s truly the audience who reaps the reward.
