Discover CenterPoint Theatre’s A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder

by Discover Davis

What do you do when eight people are standing between you and your estranged family’s financial estate? Well, I don’t know, but I know what Monty Navarro would do… And it’s highly illegal. (And unethical if you’re aware of that sort of thing.)

The cast in CenterPoint Theatre’s January and February production of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is A-list and second to none. We were fortunate to see the MWF cast starring Christian Lackman as mastermind Monty, CenterPoint Director Danny Inkley as a myriad of D’Ysquith family characters (the next one better than the last), Bre Welch as Monty’s love interest Sibella and Sarah Jane Watts as Monty’s other love, Phoebe.

From the start, the music and unpredictability of the show reel you in. The vocal talent of this cast deceives you into thinking you might be somewhere in Midtown, Manhattan. The comedic performance brought by Inkley is a testament to his range and calling to be on the stage. You’ll come for the intrigue and stay for the artistry.

Set in the stylish and wickedly funny world of the Edwardian era, this Tony Award-winning musical follows the outrageous story of Monty Navarro. When he discovers his aristocratic roots, Monty sets out on a darkly comedic journey to eliminate the eight relatives standing between him and a family fortune. With an irresistible blend of clever humor, catchy music, and a captivating cast of characters, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder promises an evening of non-stop laughter and unforgettable entertainment. Join us at CenterPoint Legacy Theatre for this sensational musical that will have you rolling in the aisles and cheering for Monty every step of the way!

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is Directed by Shelby Ferrin, Music Directed by Arianne Hellewell, Choreographed by Marilyn Montgomery, and presented to you by two amazing casts.
