Handcart Days 2026

Come celebrate with us during Handcart Days this summer in South Davis County! Because of the faith of our Pioneer ancestry to persevere across the United States to a place of Freedom, we, in gratitude remember and celebrate them. Come celebrate the pioneers practicing faith in crossing the plains to enter the Salt Lake Valley on July 24th 1847 AND the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence securing our freedoms in this free land, the United State of America. We are so grateful!
Dates: Friday, July 24th: park games, entertainment and food 5pm-9:30pm (games end at 9pm, food open until 9:30pm)
8pm Concert in the Bountiful City Park: Jenny Oaks Baker and family performing “American Mosaic”
9am Saturday, July 25th: 9am Handcart Day Parade, the 2nd largest parade in Utah! (The 1.8 mile parade route starts at 1500 South Main Street and proceeds north to 400 North, then turns west to end near Bountiful City Park)
10am-3pm Park Activities (These are the same on both Friday and Saturday night). Some activities include: Fish Pond, Drone Flight, Face Painting, Free game area that includes Gunny Sack races, 9 Square, and Corn Hole to name a few. There will be a huge bubble and T-shirts available for purchase commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
