Ride UTA from Layton to Snowbasin

by Discover Davis

Snowbasin ski bus

When in Layton City you’re only 30 minutes away from Snowbasin Resort, so why not go enjoy the slopes? And thanks to the Utah Transit Authority (UTA), skiers and snowboarders can get to the slopes without having to make the drive, so you really don’t have any excuses to go.

In 2016 UTA added Route 677 to serve skiers and snowboarders who want a ride to Snowbasin Resort from Layton City. In its first year in service, Route 677 took thousands of riders up to Snowbasin. It’s so convenient for parents to drop off and pick up young skiers and boarders at UTA bus stops. And for adults who want to save gas money or just don’t enjoy driving in the snow, this is the perfect solution.  This service is not only convenient but helps diminish car emissions.

Route 677 serves locals as well as tourists, said UTA Regional General Manager Eddy Cumins. It provides locals with convenient connections from the Midtown Trolley (Route 628), Layton Hills Mall and Park & Ride lots, while also serving tourists staying at hotels in Layton City’s Midtown area. A connection with Layton FrontRunner Station also makes it easy for anyone coming from Ogden or Salt Lake City to reach the resort.

Running December 14th – March 29th

This season, the ski bus service started on December 14th and runs through the end of March, see website for updates.
