Brave Like Eve: Curated by Laura Erekson & Nicole Woodbury Exhibition Run Dates: 01.14 – 03.27 Brave Like Eve reenvisions one of the most iconic origin stories in religious tradition – one that has profoundly shaped societal perceptions of womanhood. Rooted in Latter-day Saint theology, which emphasizes Eve’s essential and courageous role in God’s plan, the exhibition invites viewers to reconsider Eve’s legacy as one of informed choice and sacred responsibility. The exhibition challenges long-held narratives that have cast Eve—and by extension, all women—in a negative light. We aim to portray Eve as a thoughtful woman taught at the feet of Heavenly Parents, gifted with wisdom to take steps necessary to bring forth our very existence, and courageously faithful to Christ. In doing so, it opens space to rethink how women are seen across history and culture—no longer burdened by shame and subjugation, but honored as brave, like Eve.
