Exciting Places to Stay When Visiting Antelope Island

by Discover Davis

Dreaming of sleeping under stars with bison nearby — but maybe not that rustic? You’re in luck. Antelope Island’s lodging options range from cozy cottages to primitive campsites, and there are good stays just off the island if you want more amenities. I’ll walk you through the choices so you can pick your perfect stay style.

NEW: Cottages on Antelope Island

The island now has comfortable cottages available for rent via Utah State Parks.

These cottages are a sweet middle ground — more shelter and comfort than camping, but still in the heart of the island experience. Learn more about camping on the island HERE.

Camping Options on Antelope Island

If cottages aren’t your jam, or you want something more rugged (or cheaper), the island still offers classic camping choices. Below is a roundup of the main ones, with pros, cons, and tips.

Bridger Bay Campground (Main Developed Campground)

  • ~64 sites, some ADA accessible
  • Offers flush restrooms & showers
  • You can choose no hookups (~$30) or water/electrical hookups (~$40) per night
  • Extra vehicle fee ~$18
  • Great for families or those who want both nature + some comfort

White Rock Bay Campground

  • ~20 sites, including a couple equestrian ones
  • Primitive: no electricity or water, pit toilets onlyp9
  • Rate: ~$40/night (covers two vehicles)

Ladyfinger Campground

  • Very small & primitive: 5 sites
  • No water or electricity, pit toilets only
  • $20 per night (covers 1 vehicle)

Split Rock Backcountry Sites

  • Hike-in, remote option (4 sites)
  • Very minimal amenities: tent pads, mulching toilets
  • ~$20 per night

Lakeside Group Campsite

  • A large group site (up to ~80 people, 20 vehicles)
  • Primitive (no utilities)
  • ~$180/night

Because island lodging is rustic, many visitors choose to stay in nearby towns or cities for comfort, easier access to services, and a good “base camp” from which to hit the park each day.
