Ring in the New Year – Celebrate 2021 in Davis

If there’s ever been a reason to celebrate, the end of 2020 is it. Of course, 2021 celebrations will look a little different this year. While it’s smart to stay home if you can, here are some innovative ways to ring in the New Year.
Keep it Simple

Ice Bumper Cars
Take the fam for a spin on Station Park’s ice bumper cars – new this season! Ice bumper cars are a whole new twist on fun, and a totally unique way to celebrate while taking in the holiday magic of Fountain Square. Visit the Station Park website for hours and more information.
Bountiful Town Square Ice Skating
Celebrate the New Year outdoors with a spin around town. The new Bountiful Ice Ribbon provides a skating path through the Town Square. Ice skating is by reservation only through southdavisrecreation.com.
Antelope Island First Day Hike
If late nights aren’t your thing, ring in the new year on east coast time, then head to bed early and set your alarm for an Antelope Island First Day Hike. What better way to kick off 2021 than with a beautiful, self-guided New Year’s Day hike at Antelope Island. Tag #aifirstday2021 and #discoverdavis in your social media posts to let us know what trail you’re exploring!
Hit the Slopes
Early to bed, early to rise, and make the first day of 2021 a great one by heading up to Snowbasin, just 30 minutes from Layton, or one of the other eight world-class ski resorts within an hour of Davis. While Snowbasin isn’t hosting their annual New Year’s Eve party, there’s no reason you can’t hit the slopes on the last day of the year, or start the new year fresh with the Greatest Snow on Earth!
Get Crafty
Order a painting to go kit (canvas or ceramics) from As You Wish or Hands On Art and enjoy a crafty family night at home. Or book a private family paint night at Pint-sized Picassos and create canvases (and memories) the whole family will treasure.

Rush Funplex
Pre-buy your New Year’s Eve pass for access to unlimited activities from 7 p.m. to noon, including bowling, big-screen countdown broadcasts, balloon drop, confetti cannons, party favors and glow sticks. Attendance is limited, save $3 with pre-purchased tickets. Customers will receive a confirmation code via email which will be used for admission on New Year’s Eve.

Boondocks
Celebrate Noon Year’s Eve with the kids with a countdown at noon. Enjoy unlimited bowling, laser tag, XD theater, and $10 arcade play for only $14 per person. Includes noisemakers and hats, plus a New Year’s Eve raffle for guests who pre-purchase tickets.

Classic Fun Center
Two celebrations to choose from: One for younger kids during the day and an evening party for older kids. A ticket to either New Year’s Eve celebration includes unlimited bouncing, Pirate’s Cove, laser tag and skating* plus 10 arcade tokens, favors, a raffle ticket and participation in the balloon drop at 4 p.m. and midnight. Capacity is limited this year, so purchase tickets in advance. (*See website for details.)
