Beekeeping is an art that can reward the beekeeper with honey and bee products as well as the satisfaction that comes with properly managing a hive. This beginning beekeeping class will help you understand the bee lifecycle, equipment needs, the process of setting up a hive and installing bees, and basic care and management throughout the season. Class participants will receive class materials, local resources, and a better understanding of the inner workings of the hive which can boost beekeeper success.
The class will be held at the USU Kaysville Education Building in room 133. Participants must have a pre-purchased ticket to participate, no ticket sales at the door. Class fees are non-refundable.
