Take a Hawaiian Vacation! Can’t make it to Hawaii this year! No problem! we will bring Hawaii to you! Send your kids to Hawaii while you take a break this summer.
August 7: Hawaiian Leis:
Kids will make a lei from paper flowers that they create! Using beads and yarn they will bring home their own lei creation.
August 8th: Seashell Collection:
Looking at real seashells as inspiration, students will investigate and draw their own collection of seashells and then paint them with watercolor resist.
August 9th: Ukulele Collage
Using both painting and collage, students will construct a mixed-media piece inspired by a ukulele
August 10th: Rainbow Weaving
Recycled materials such as plastic bags, and other found objects make great materials for weaving. Students will make a weaving that uses the found objects and then embellish the weaving such as beads, feathers, and pipe cleaners.
