June 6 -Pastel Planets Explore the universe with this project! Kids will learn about the planet and then have a chance to draw their own with pastels on a large piece of black paper.   June 7-Symmetrical Aliens This lesson is based on symmetry, Students can invent their own funky alien using symmetry as a guide point. Then they can embellish their aliens with papers and squiggly eyes and paint.   June 8-Astronaut self-portrait After learning about Niel Armstrong, students can imagine themselves on the moon as they draw themselves in a space helmet and then collage themselves onto a background of constellations.   June 9- Watercolor Rockets In this lesson, children learn to draw a simple line drawing of a space shuttle using a guide or a template with oil pastels or crayons. They also explore the beauty of liquid watercolors as different colors blend together on the paper in front of them. They can explore different techniques of watercolor including wet-on-wet, blending colors   All materials are provided.
