Davis County rocks celebrating the 4th of July with lots of fun events and activities for all to enjoy. While this summer’s events look a little different, many Davis County cities and organizations are going above and beyond to ensure that we can all celebrate the 4th of July in a safe way. Here’s an insider look at where all the Independence Day celebrations are happening around the County.
Safety Note: If you chose to participate in public celebrations, please do not congregate in large groups. Stay 6 feet away from those not in your group, wear a mask, and wash your hands often. Fireworks are only permitted from July 2-5 and may not be allowed in certain areas. Please check your city guidelines before setting off fireworks.

West Bountiful Fireworks
What: West Bountiful’s annual Independence Day fireworks display is still on! This annual fireworks display will be held at 10 pm on Friday, July 3. This year, the display will be set off from Lakeside Golf Course and will go higher and longer than normal. Spectators will not be allowed on the golf course but fireworks will be easily visible from yards, roadsides, and trails.
Red, White, & Zoom Along

What: Since we can’t be on the stage to share our story with you this 4th of July…..we have virtually gathered together in song to celebrate our love of musical theater and our love of this country. “Broadway Musical Magic” and the “Star-Spangled Banner” is our virtual musical concert featuring 39 performers from the past 21 summers of Kaysville City Musicals. First Responder Freedom Drive
When: July 4, 2020, 9 am Where: Kaysville and Fruit Heights
What: Celebrate with us as we parade through a neighborhood near you in Kaysville and Fruit Heights. Please see map link below. First Responder vehicles include:

Patriotic Live Stream

What: Patriotic Live Stream – honoring Kaysville and Fruit Heights’ unsung heroes featuring Tim Ballard, author and founder of Operation Underground Railroad. View Live Stream below.
Timothy Ballard is the Founder and CEO of Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.). Ballard spent over a decade working as a Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security where he was assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and deployed as an undercover operative for the U.S. Child Sex Tourism Jump Team.
Liberty Days Virtual 5K Fun Run/Walk
When: July 1-25, 2020
Where: Layton City
What: The 2020 Liberty Days 5K Fun Run/Walk is a virtual race. Participants can choose any date and time beginning Wednesday, July 1 – Saturday, July 25 to complete a 5K route (participants choice.) Once the 5K has been completed, participants will submit their times to Layton City at email@example.com. Include your first and last name, time, and any photos you would like to share. All registered participants that submit a 5K run or walk time will receive a Layton City Centennial medal, t-shirt, and entry into a random prize drawing. More information is available here.
Registration begins on June 22 and lasts until July 15th. The cost to register is $15.00 per participant. You can register online here.
When: July 3, 2020, 9:45 pm
Where: Fisher Park, Clearfield City
What: Join Clearfield City at Fisher Park on July 3 to enjoy a sunset showing of a movie from your cars. They’ll be showing Independence Day in the east parking lot (by the skate park) and Night At the Museum in the west parking lot (by the church, closest to the road). The movies will begin at dusk, between 9:45-10:00 p.m. Every car will be given a bucket of popcorn to enjoy, but we will have no other concessions, so bring any other snacks you want yourself.
You MUST reserve a spot ahead of time to attend the movie, but don’t worry, it’s free! You can reserve a spot on reconline.org beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 22.
Mayor and Council Parade Through Clearfield
When: July 4, 2020, 9 am
Where: Clearfield City. Parade Route.
What: Our Mayor and City Council want to bring the 4th of July parade to you! They will be parading through the City on the 4th of July. This year’s route is smaller route than normal. See a detailed route map on Clearfield City’s Facebook page.
Search the City
When: July 4, 2020, Noon
Where: Clearfield City
What: Keep your Instagram and Facebook notifications on, because Clearfield City will be dropping clues for a patriotic Search the City at noon on the 4th of July! They’ll be hiding big stars all over the City for you and your family to go out and find. Watch their social media channels to catch the clues, rules, and prizes. Happy hunting!
The Night of the 4th
When: July 4, 2020, 10 pm
Where: Clearfield City
What: Clearfield City needs your help with putting on a big fireworks show! They will broadcast the singing of the National Anthem on Facebook at 10 p.m. on the 4th of July, and after the song is over, they want you all to light off your own fireworks to give your neighbors quite the show! Please use good judgment and only set off legal fireworks to keep everyone safe. Fireworks are not allowed in City parks or on private property.
