SUMMARY:Fiddler on the Roof
DESCRIPTION:Tradition takes center stage in this 9-time Tony Award–winning musical! Maintaining cultural and religious tradition is of utmost importance in the Jewish village of Anatevka. Tensions rise when his daughters begin to make their own decisions regarding tradition\, faith\, love\, and culture in the midst of an uncertain future for their community. The universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race\, class\, nationality\, and religion\, and will leave you feeling joy\, sadness\, introspection\, and inspiration.\n\nPlaying: May 15-Jun 18\n\n\n\nThis calendar listing is brought to you by NowPlayingUtah.com\, Utah’s one-stop\, online website for arts and entertainment events\, powered by the Utah Cultural Alliance.

SUMMARY:Urinetown The Musical
DESCRIPTION:Urinetown offers a completely different kind of theatrical experience—bold\, witty\, and surprisingly thought-provoking. Set in a dystopian future where water is scarce and even restroom use is controlled\, this satirical musical blends humor with social commentary in a way that keeps audiences laughing while making them think. It’s clever\, unexpected\, and one of those shows people can’t stop talking about after they leave.\nThis calendar listing is brought to you by NowPlayingUtah.com\, Utah’s one-stop\, online website for arts and entertainment events\, powered by the Utah Cultural Alliance.

SUMMARY:Tarzan
DESCRIPTION:Based on Disney’s epic animated musical adventure and Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan of the Apes\, Disney’s Tarzan features heart-pumping music by rock legend Phil Collins. Washed up on the shore\, an infant boy is taken in and raised by gorillas. Tarzan’s life is mostly monkey business until a human expedition treks into his tribe’s territory and he encounters creatures like himself for the first time. Tarzan struggles to navigate a jungle thick with emotion as his animal upbringing clashes with his human instincts. High-flying excitement and musical hits like the Academy Award–winning “You’ll Be in My Heart” make Disney’s Tarzan an unforgettable theatrical experience.\n\n\n\nThis calendar listing is brought to you by NowPlayingUtah.com\, Utah’s one-stop\, online website for arts and entertainment events\, powered by the Utah Cultural Alliance.

SUMMARY:Davis Arts Council’s 250 and Counting Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States of America offers an opportunity to reflect on a history shaped by challenge\, change\, and resilience\, and on a future that continues to unfold.  The Davis Arts Council’s 250 and Counting exhibition asks artists to approach this milestone not only through theme\, but through artistic process.\n\nArtists are invited to create a work consisting of 250 or more intentional actions – marks\, strokes\, stitches\, knots\, lines\, cuts\, or other repeated gestures. These accumulated actions serve as a meditation on the many trials\, triumphs\, setbacks\, and successes that have shaped the United States over time\, and the many that still lie ahead.\n\nArtists working in all visual media are encouraged to interpret the idea of “250 actions” in ways that are meaningful to their individual creative practice\, and as part of the submission process\, Artists are asked to briefly describe what constitutes an “action” in their work. Artists may choose to continue beyond the 250th action as a reflection on the future of the United States\, in addition to its past. Each artist may submit up to two pieces for consideration\, but each piece must consist of a different medium and/or “intentional action.”\n\nPrizes will be awarded for Best in Show and Honorable Mentions.\n\nLOCATION: Davis Arts Council’s Snow Horse Gallery is located at the Davis Conference Center/Hilton Garden Inn.\n\n\n\nThis calendar listing is brought to you by NowPlayingUtah.com\, Utah’s one-stop\, online website for arts and entertainment events\, powered by the Utah Cultural Alliance.

SUMMARY:2026 Summer Nights With the Stars: Boogie Wonder Band
DESCRIPTION:If we didn’t know better\, we’d say that the Boogie Wonder Band\, arrived via a time machine because this 10-piece band busts out funk-a-licious grooves and disco-strutting jams like they are straight out of the ‘70s. Channeling the era with a full throttle high-octane live show\, each member dons eye-popping Las Vegas-inspired costumes and flashy personas. They don’t just hail from another land; they come from another decade – where Disco ruled the dance floors!\n\nBoogie Wonder Band continues to dazzle audiences worldwide with their unstoppable disco energy. Hot off the release of their brand-new album Disco Honey\, they lit up national TV with a performance of their latest single. A staple of the iconic Disco Cruise for the sixth time and two-time performers on the ‘70s Rock & Romance Cruise\, the band has taken their glitter and grooves across the globe—from a festival in St-Malo\, France\, to performing with the Utah Symphony. In 2025\, they’ll bring the boogie to Disco Night with the Houston Symphony\, a private event in Pattaya\, Thailand\, and the Legends of Paradise 10th anniversary celebration at the Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana. Boogie Wonder Band is the ultimate celebration of disco fever—past\, present\, and future!\nThis calendar listing is brought to you by NowPlayingUtah.com\, Utah’s one-stop\, online website for arts and entertainment events\, powered by the Utah Cultural Alliance.

SUMMARY:2026 Summer Nights With the Stars: An Evening With The Marshall Tucker Band
DESCRIPTION:The Marshall Tucker Band came together as a young\, hungry\, and quite driven six-piece outfit in Spartanburg\, South Carolina in 1972\, having duly baptized themselves with the name of a blind piano tuner after they found it inscribed on a key to their original rehearsal space — and they’ve been in tune with tearing it up on live stages both big and small all across the globe ever since. Plus\, the band’s mighty music catalog\, consisting of more than 20 studio albums and a score of live releases\, has racked up multi-platinum album sales many times over.\n\nA typically rich MTB setlist is bubbling over with a healthy dose of hits like the heartfelt singalong “Heard It in a Love Song\,” the insistent pleading of “Can’t You See” (the signature tune of MTB’s late co-founding lead guitarist and then-principal songwriter Toy Caldwell)\, the testifying “Fire on the Mountain\,” the wanderlust gallop of “Long Hard Ride\,” and the explosive testimony of “Ramblin\,’” to name but a few.\n\n\n\nThis calendar listing is brought to you by NowPlayingUtah.com\, Utah’s one-stop\, online website for arts and entertainment events\, powered by the Utah Cultural Alliance.
