SUMMARY:2024 Summer Nights with the Stars: Bachman-Turner Overdrive
DESCRIPTION:Born in Winnipeg\, Randy Bachman has become a legendary figure in the rock and roll world through his talents as a guitarist\, songwriter\, performer and producer. Bachman has earned over 120 gold and platinum album/singles awards around the world. His songwriting has garnered him the coveted #1 spot on radio playlists in over 20 countries and over the course of his career he has sold over 40 million records. Randy’s songs have been recorded by a broad range of artists and have been placed in dozens of TV shows\, films and commercials. Impressively\, his music has provided a veritable soundtrack for more than fifty years of popular music.\n\nBachman first scored Billboard radio chart success with his band The Guess Who in 1965 performing the song\, “Shakin’ All Over.” The Guess Who went on an unprecedented run of 5 singles that each sold a million copies\, all the product of the gold-plated Randy Bachman-Burton Cummings songwriting team. By 1970\, The Guess Who had sold more records than the entire Canadian recording industry to that point\, even outselling the Beatles that year. Their hits included “These Eyes\,” “Laughing\,” “Undun\,” “No Time\,” “No Sugar Tonight\,” and “American Woman.”\n\nDue to health concerns and desiring a change in lifestyle\, including spending more time with his young family\, Randy left The Guess Who at the height of their success. While this move stunned the music world\, Randy knew that he could never leave music behind. He formed Brave Belt – a country rock outfit in 1970 and experimented with a new musical style and lineup that eventually metamorphosed into Bachman-Turner Overdrive.\n\nUnbelievably\, Randy’s success with Bachman-Turner Overdrive would eclipse his earlier triumphs and give him yet a third run at the pop music charts. Monstrous hits for the band included\, “Let it Ride\,” “Roll on Down the Highway\,” “Takin’ Care of Business\,” “Hey You\,” “Looking Out for #1\,” “Four Wheel Drive” and “You Ain’t\n\nSeen Nothin’ Yet” which reached #1 in over 20 countries. Randy’s career has been built upon his unstoppable drive to work at creating music. He has released numerous solo albums throughout his career\, and has simultaneously worked at producing for other artists. His production/writing work with Canadian rock band Trooper generated gold and platinum records in the 1970s.

SUMMARY:Straight No Chaser – Summer: The 90s
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT STRAIGHT NO CHASER:\n\nIf the phrase “male a cappella group” conjures up an image of students in blue blazers\, ties\, and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses… think again. Straight No Chaser (SNC) are neither strait-laced nor straight-faced\, but neither are they vaudeville-style kitsch. They have emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fanbase and a long list of accomplishments\, including 2 RIAA Gold Certified albums\, over 1.5 million concert tickets sold\, over 1 billion streams on Pandora\, and over 2 million albums sold worldwide. Straight No Chaser is the real deal\, the captivating sound of nine unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music that is moving people in a fundamental sense… and with a sense of humor.

Along with the skill and expertise that comes from nearly a decade of performing together\, they bring the energy of closing weekend at your favorite ski resort to the stage. They have captivated audiences across the nation with their unique blend of heartfelt songwriting\, high velocity instrumental excellence\, silly outfits\, and sing-along anthems. Pixie and The Partygrass Boys invite the audience into their world every time they take the stage\, hoping to share a piece of the magic they’ve found on the mountain tops and in the desert canyons of their Utah home.\n\nPixie and The Partygrass Boys have been touring extensively since the release of their 2018 debut EP “Utah Made\,” becoming a five-year fixture at WinterWonderGrass as well as gracing the stages of High Sierra Music Festival\, Gem and Jam\, Delfest\, Jam Cruise\, Hangtown\, Sawtooth Valley Gathering\, Bourbon and Beyond\, and countless venues across the USA. SUMMARY:Red\, White\, and Tuna
DESCRIPTION:The much anticipated third installment in the Tuna trilogy takes the audience through another satirical ride into the hearts and minds of the polyester-clad citizens of Texas’ third smallest town. Along with Tuna’s perennial favorites\, some new Tuna denizens burst into the 4th of July Tuna High School Class Reunion. This sets the stage for a show full of fireworks and fun from the land where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. \nIt’s been several years since we left Bertha and Arles dancing at the end of A Tuna Christmas…Did the romance blossom? Has Didi Snavley received any “cosmic” communications from R.R.’s UFO? Did Stanley make his fortune in the Albuquerque taxidermy business? These and other burning questions will be asked and answered in the side-splitting spoof of life in rural America.
