DESCRIPTION:Layton City\, the Northern Utah Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA)\, and the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) will host the annual Veterans Parade on Saturday\, November 9th\, 2024. The Veterans Parade is an event to honor all men and women who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces. This year will mark the 18th year of the Veterans Parade and the 5th time it has been held in Layton City. The Veterans Parade\, scheduled to start at 11:11am\, will proceed along Wasatch Drive\, through Layton Commons Park (Constitution Circle)\, and ending at the south end of Layton Commons Park\, near Hawthorne Drive. All community organizations as well as veterans groups are invited to participate in the parade. Being a veteran group is not required to participate in the parade. Anyone that desires to say thank you to veterans is also welcome. No political statements or references will be allowed in the parade. Parade lineup is at 9:30am\, in the parking lot at 789 Wasatch Drive. Additional parade information may be obtained by contacting Dennis Howland\, at 801-389-1893.\n\nImmediately following the Veterans Parade\, Layton City in partnership with the VVA will conduct a short ‘Veterans Honors Ceremony’ at the Vietnam Memorial Wall Replica site. The ‘Veterans Honors Ceremony’ is scheduled to start at the conclusion of the Veterans Parade\, approximately 12:30pm.

This event is a crucial part of both bison and island management.\n\nPark Impacts: Increased traffic on roadways. All trails except Buffalo Point\, Ladyfinger Point\, and Lakeside Loop will be closed.\n\nRoundup Watch Party / Exposition\nJoin us in White Rock Bay starting at 10:00 AM to watch the team of riders make the final push\, leading the bison into the corrals. We’ll have food\, games\, and fun activities for families. DESCRIPTION:Choose to join the hunt on either Oct. 24th or 25th!\n\nPre-registration is required to attend this fun and spooky event.  The Whit After Dark – Hunt for the Spanish Gold is a timed mystery solving expedition that takes you back in time when prospectors were panning and Spanish Gold was hidden in our Centerville mines!  Luckily we have found an old family diary from Crazy Uncle Walt…who might not have been that crazy after all!  Help us use his clues to find the map that leads to the Spanish Gold!\n\nOnly one person needs to sign up per group.\nPick your preferred time slot\, sign up\, and bring with you up to six players (maximum of six people per time slot).\nEach time slot is given 15 minutes to find the gold before the next team enters.\nThere are two different dates and many time slots available to sign up for\, so pay attention to the time slot and date you pick.\nYour group needs to arrive at least 10-minutes prior to the time slot you picked to check-in and get in the que.\nAdults only (18+) due to museum artifacts and game level\nWe’re gunna be rich – with memories!
