Christmas Light Displays

Christmas at Station Park

Not only are there beautiful warm golden lights throughout Station Park, but also a huge Christmas Tree of lights, including a tunnel for all your selfie and family picture needs. The light show from the fountain and visiting Santa make this one of the best places to check off more than one thing on your Christmas list. Bonus activity to add to your Christmas bucket list: ice bumper cars!

Layton City: “Lights Before Christmas”

Christmas light display in Layton City

Layton city does not hold back when it comes to their Christmas light display! This beautiful animal scene will have you feeling like you’ve been transported to the North Pole zoo where all their animals are made of Christmas lights. Chances are high that you’ll find your favorite animal somewhere in the park!

This setup has a drive-thru option if you’d like to experience the lights from the comfort and warmth of your car, or a walk-thru with several paths to view both realistic and fantastical beasts. We’d recommend both, but by walking you get a few extra added benefits including some stands with a big green button that will belt out the animals’ call. Sometimes some guesswork is involved with certain animals and it’ll keep you on your toes (Turkey or Peacock, is our biggest debate).

Most nights, earlier in the evening, you can grab free hot cocoa by the LDS Seminary building. Layton city really goes above and beyond with their details, including different colored eyes and claws.

They also have a bison, which is not only the National Mammal of our country but also our unofficial county mascot thanks to our friends on Antelope Island. This one you CAN selfie with because it won’t charge you.

Be sure to pose with your favorite animal and tag us @DiscoverDavis!

The Layton Rotary Club will be running the Hot Chocolate Shack, inside Constitution Circle, that evening for anyone interested in purchasing hot chocolate.
