2021 5K Recycle Run
Presented by South Davis Races, this 5k Recycle Fun Run will be done in reverse order of a standard 5K run. Advance registration is available online, or participants can register onsite the day of the race. Click here for more information.

Legacy Duathlon
Presented by On Hill Events at LifeLine for Youth, this is a great race to kick off the multi-sport race season with a run-bike-run on the Legacy Parkway Trail System. Similar to a triathlon without the swim. Learn more.

May the Fourth Race Half Marathon – Virtual
This fun Star Wars-themed race is typically held in person, beginning at the Legacy Events “Space” Center and raced along the Legacy Parkway Trail System. This year, enjoy a virtual race along the dark side. This half marathon can be run any time within a set period, and you can keep your time to see how you stack up against others. Virtual races are designed to be run in small groups with friends and family, so sign up and enjoy the fun. Presented by On Hill Events, you’ll even get a t-shirt and a medal! Learn more.

Antelope Island Moonlight Bike Ride
This one’s not a run, but if you love physical challenges, you’ll want to keep this annual race on your radar. Ride across the majestic Antelope Island State Park at night by glow of the bright summer full moon. Presented by Discover Davis. Learn more.

Handcart Days Races 2021
Handcart Days Races 2021 includes a half marathon, family 5K and Pioneer Pete 1K. The half marathon course is not your typical “downhill canyon” Utah course — it’s mostly flat with a few slight inclines — but that’s what makes it great! Begin at the Legacy Trail for about 5 miles of the half and then head back through the beautiful city streets of Farmington, Centerville and Bountiful. The race starts at 6:00 am so you can beat the July heat. The 5K and 1K courses are all right turns and fairly flat, to keep them family-friendly. Presented by South Davis Races.

Alien Midnight Run
Run at night to avoid alien abduction. This race gives racers glow sticks and finishes with a laser-filled room. The race is alien themed with fun decorations from another world. Presented by On Hill Events at Legacy Events Center, get race details here.

Intermountain Healthcare Brineman Triathlon
This event not only boasts a spectator-friendly swim, a bike course you’ve only dreamt of and a fast/ flat run, but this year it’s also the home of the first ever Olympic Course Utah State Triathlon Championship. The Sprint course is incredible, but if you want to see something really special, start training now and step up to the Olympic or Long Course for scenery that will blow your mind. Antelope Island Marathon
The Antelope Island Marathon has four distances: Full, half, 10K and 5K. All the distances are on Antelope Island, which is home to 600 bison and is the largest island on the Great Salt Lake. This course, presented by On Hill Events, is a true marathon in that it is not all downhill like many. There are several rollers for the runners. Enjoy views of the Great Salt Lake to the east and Antelope Island mountain on the west, as you race your course. Learn more.

DC Peaks Ultra 50
Enjoy some of the best trails and scenery Davis has to offer. The DC Peaks 50 is a point-to-point ultra marathon that will have you breathing heavy through a big smile. The race begins at East Mountain Wilderness Park in Kaysville and takes you on an adventure of trails, service roads and 2.5 miles of paved road. You’ll hit a sweet climb on the Great Western Trail, go through some of the most popular hiking trails in Mueller Park, and end at Tunnel Springs Park in North Salt Lake. It’s a tough course with 12,000 feet of vertical gain but we guarantee it beats lying on the couch! This race was designed by ultra runners, so you know it’s a good one! Learn more.

Stay for the fun: From fall festivals and hay mazes to spooky skeletons and theatre performances, there are plenty of ways to celebrate fall in Davis. Visit Lagoon’s famous Frightmares, Scary Hill at Cherry Hill, or check out the annual fall festivals at Black Island Farms and Cross E Ranch. Fuel up for the race with comforting breakfast classics like Granny Annie’s famous scones, and then celebrate your victory at locally-owned gems like Hug-Hes Cafe and Weller’s Bistro.
